There are 2 buttons on the sides to release the phone. You can press any one of them which is highy practical. The suction power is also strong. The customer service is one of the best. I had got a defective product. I talked with them and they sent me a new one. Extremely satisfied and highly recommended.

I bought this for my daughter's car, a 2011 VW Jetta. I was concerned that the suction cup may not adhere to the lightly textured dash but it stuck like glue. It has been a few weeks of August temps and it's still holding on. She reports that it's solid and makes it easy to use and see the nav feature on her phone while driving without having to endanger herself and every other unsuspecting motorist who crosses her path. Its super cute and mainly sturdy. I recommend using the clip, but if you use the adhesive mount, be extremely careful and follow the directions precisely. Make absolutely sure the surface you are sticking it to is flat flat flat and clean! and do not put your phone on it until 3 days have passed.

Perfect and just what I needed. Doesn't get in my way while driving and holds my iphone 12pro max perfectly without dropping at all. It's plain and simple - no distracting lights and still leaves phone accessible if you need to plug into charger. I did opt for mounting it to my dash with adhesive since my vents weren't in a good position that would work for this, but nice that it comes with that option as well.
