I ordered the tool for a specific job ahead of time.. Before I had a chance to use the puller for the jobI had bought it for, another situation came up ans I remembered I hab bought the puller ans it worked perfectly for not only what it was intended for but being used in a pinch creatively. I had to buy a smaller splitting tool to effectively use the set in the space I had. Once I did it was great, took seconds to get a stuck bearing to release.

While this is clearly not a $60 set, for the happy homeowner who might use this a few times a year on cars, trucks, etc., it should do over 95% of what we need done.

This is a nice heavy, and heavy duty set. The threads are all cut well, and everything fits together firmly. The separator has a good angle for parting sleeves, and I can put a lot of force on it without any flexing. The case holds everything very well. I always expect when I open these cases to have at least a few things out of place. With this one, everything was locked down. It's not even super tight, it's just a well engineered fit. Overall a great tool. Highly recommended.

I used this puller set to pull a timing gear off a International DT466E motor. I broke three other cheaper ones but this one although only had the tips biting behind the gear pulled it off like a champ. Next up is the air compressor gear. I'm confident this puller will make light work of that since it did the impossible on the timing gear.

Have not had a chance to use this kit yet but seesm well built and a good value for the money just bought it to have on the farm when we do need a gear puller
